What is Laughter Yoga?

Laughter Yoga (also referred to Laughing Yoga or Yoga Laughter) is a practice initially started in India that promotes the use of laughter as a form of physical exercise.  Nobody really knows who invented it nor when it first appeared, and there are no mentions of it in the ancient Yogic literature. Several eye-witnesses (US and UK servicemen) reported seeing villagers gathering on daily basis just to laugh in the 1940s. 

Laughter Yoga owes its modern success to Dr. Madan Kataria, who modernized its practice by simplifying and making accessible to the common man the teachings of earlier laughter pioneers who taught very similar concepts starting in the 1960s.

Its core premise is that your body can and knows how to laugh, regardless of what your mind has to say. Because it follows a body-mind approach to laughter, participants do not need to have a sense of humor, know jokes, or even be happy. The invitation is to "laugh for no reason," faking it until it becomes real.

Meet Sandy Joy

Hello beautiful people!  My name is Sandy Joy London.  Yes, JOY is my middle name and truly the center of my being. I truly feel joy from within, every single day. My understanding of authentic JOY inspires my love of helping others find their personal peace, their smile, and their authentic joy. Sometimes the JOY we are all born with gets buried under the responsibilities and grind of daily living. BUT, that JOY still lives within you; it just may be a little stuck.    

Do you feel that stuck feeling sometimes?  I was also stuck wondering and wanting for years and years of my life, but I learned how to Break Free and Live with Authentic Joy.  Becoming unstuck IS very do-able.  It starts with trust. Trust that your easy smile, the genuine happiness and your authentic JOY is still there within you.    

I help you uncover the authentic joy that lives deep within, to smile more, to laugh more, and to live in true happiness. I've been through this journey myself, now I want to help you.   

I'm a certified holistic Life and Mindset Coach, hypnotherapist, as well as a certified Rapid Transformational Practitioner (RTT®).  I have trained under the guidance of Marisa Peer and her team. Marisa is the creator of RTT®, which is a multi-award-winning, cutting-edge therapy, recognized for its rapid and long-lasting results.  RTT® combines the science of neuroplasticity with the most effective NLP principles with CBT, psychotherapy, and hypnotherapy and creates a uniquely powerful therapy that allows people to gain lasting freedom from their issues more quickly than with traditional talk therapy. Relief for specific issues often comes in as little as one to three sessions.
